Water Spirit Poem

It called to me with the sounds of gently running water.

My mind sought out the source and looked there for an answer that it had long been seeking.

An almost silent whisper drew me forth.

The rhythmic melody of the flow casting its spell upon my soul.

Then and there it came to life and took on a form most familiar.

Moving with liquid motion so fluid and so smooth as it crossed the distance between us.

Its gaze bored into me from watery, translucent orbs that gleamed like pearls.

I was moved by an almost magnetic pull that drew my hand forward to touch it.

Then with a sudden splash, it collapsed into a puddle before my feet.
